One of the biggest crisis in India is Electricity. Each unit is worth gold in this country. The government almost fell due to the energy crisis and yet there are people who waste electricity just for making their properties look good or better among others.
It is not in some illiterate area but in Kerala, the most literate state in India. The above picture is from one of the high profile areas, within 100m from the Raj Bhavan.
Kerala State Electricity Board has its electricity supply cut by more than 200 million units by the central government for compensate decrease in energy production due to low amount of water in dams with electricity production system.
Even in this highly educated circle in Kerala, people doesn't know the meaning of the words, "Save Energy" and how can u complain that people from the lower circle are wasting energy. Even government have stopped showing ads to save energy recently. Even they have considered ads as wastage of money since people aren't going to change anyway. It ascertains the popular saying :
A Dog's Tail can never be straightened
