11-08-2008 will be remembered as the day that turned the phase of Indian Olympic Campaign for the next millenium.
10.8 and 'X' mark will never be forgotten ever by any Indian who has seen his performance either in real or in television.
10.8 at the final shot to win a gold medal is quite something like running upstairs 10 floors and stopping and having a shot. His heart would have been so soundy that it may have frightened anyone else but him.
The scene when Indian anthem went off at Beijing 2008 is unforgettable. Bindhra stood emotionless while defending champion though won a silver medal at his home ground broke into tears.
His statements after he won the gold medal that inspired me the most were :
"If I hadnt won a medal, I would try it the next time. You should never give up."
"I was thinking if Rathode could do it last time, why cant I ?"
He has made India and all Indians proud and I believe he stirs in belief in all Indians that we can do it better than others if we are determined.
I hope this starts a campaign "India 2020 : India to be among top 20 in medal tally by 2020 Olympics"
He has dome something more than what Kapil's Devils done to cricket in India and before the end of the day, those who said India wont win anything in Olympics, are talking about other Gold medal hopes of India in this Olympics.
"This might be the First but surely not the Last"
